A property and garden was left with extensive damage after a large fire occurred when a BBQ set light to a nearby fence and spread rapidly to a shed and its contents. The intense heat which was generated then melted and consequently warped the property’s UPVC door and upstairs bathroom window. Although the BBQ was only left unattended for a short period of time the fire quickly escalated and resulted in a visit from the Fire Service who successfully put out the blaze before it took hold of the property wholly, unfortunately however, by this point the fire had already created substantial damage to the garden and the outside of the property.

Through the home owners insurance company Westone Housing were appointed to carry out the repair work. After an initial inspection and costing exercise the team cleared away all the debris. The damaged fence, shed and contents, the tarnished landscaping materials and damaged window and door were disposed of safely and environmentally responsibly.

Once the area was cleared, the site was prepared ready for the new products to be installed which included re-wiring the external electrics for the outside lighting and levelling the ground for the new paving.

Installation of the new items then started which included replacing the UPVC window and door, laying paving slabs and erecting the new garden fencing.

The work was completed quickly and efficiently and caused as little disruption as possible to the home owners. Following the completion of the works the customer expressed how very satisfied they were with the work we had carried out and the overall service they had received stating they would happily recommend us to others.
